A shooting at a suburban shopping mall in Maryland has left at least three dead, according to authorities. 

The initial 911 call was made reporting gunfire at the mall in Columbia, Maryland about 11:15 PM eastern time, according to CNN. Police found three bodies upon entering the mall. They suspect one of the bodies belongs to the shooter.

Mall employees told news outlets that shooting started at the second-floor food court. The body of the person believed to be the shooter was found near a gun and an amount of ammunition.

A tweet from the Howard County Police Department also stated that one of those found dead was suspected to be the shooter:

In a news briefing this afternoon, Howard County police chief Bill McMahon told reporters there was not yet a sign of a motive for the shooting.
