There are over 200,000 people that live in the city of Shreveport, and apparently they're not happy about it.  According to WalletHub's 2017's Happiest Places To Live study, Shreveport ranks 143rd out of the 150 most populated cities in America.  As one might expect, Cleveland and Detroit are #149 and #150 respectively.

The study looked at myriad factors that play into a person's happiness including depression rate to income-growth rate to average leisure time spent per day. The amount of money one makes plays a part in this up to a point.  According to research that point is $75,000.  Above that threshold money stops being a determining factor in happiness.

Shreveport ranks 148th in "Emotional and Physical Well-Being", 135th in "Income and Employment, and 105th in "Community and Environment".  So we don't make a lot of money; we like to get together outdoors with others in the community, stuff ourselves on fatty foods that are bad for us, and then feel depressed about it.  Does that about cover it?
