Amy Triplet is priceless! You can just hear the joy in her voice, but it's her giving spirit that made her easy to recognize as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country "Caught in the Act Award."

Amy is obviously one of those people that we should all strive to be, and certainly a woman that we all wish our children would have access to.

Just read the nomination letter we received about Amy from her friend, Tracy Sparaco:

Amy Triplet is a teacher at North Caddo High School. But just to say she is a teacher is not right when she is so much more to her students. Every Freshman that comes into the school will have her as a teacher. She is the Student Council sponsor also. She goes above and beyond the duties of a teacher. Her students know that she truly cares for them and loves them. She calls them her babies "her 300 other babies" since she does have three children at home. The students know that they can go to her at anytime for advice or just a shoulder to cry on and it stays there between them two. You can see it in her face that she truly cares for them when you talk to her. They are more than just a student to her. In this day students need such a positive influence at school they are there with the teachers sometimes more than their parents and she is a great one to have. If a student is hav ing a difficult time with a subject she doesn't teach she will seek out another teacher to help. If there was a school full of teachers like her the other schools would have a low attendance because they would want to go to that school. I helped with a dance that she was in charge of and she never sat down, she knew the students by name and danced around with them all while her own babies where at home. Then she told them to go home and she stayed to make sure all was cleaned up. She gives so much of herself to better her students and truly loves them. Even ones that have gone on will still tell you what a wonderful teacher, leader, mentor, and sponsor that she is. I know that my two daughters that attend there truly love her and will tell you she tells you like it is but with LOVE. Sometimes teachers go unnoticed for the extra mile that they go to help students and that is why I am nominating Amy Triplet for caught in the act. From a parent that appreciates all that she does and I am proud to call her one of my friends.

Amy Triplet, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Amy to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
