Aaron Watson is one of the hardest working men in Texas, and now the rest of America is finally getting to discover The Honky Tonk Kid and his “horse named hustle.”

This week Watson, still independent of a record label, reached a new milestone as his latest single “Outta Style,” cracked the Top 30 on the country radio charts, becoming his highest charting single to date. The song was written by Watson and is the lead single from his latest album Vaquero, which debuted earlier this year at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

In 2015 the Abilene native made his first big national splash when he released The Underdog, his 11th studio album. With it he landed his first Country Billboard No. 1 album, becoming the first solo, independent male artist to do so.

In March The Honky Tonk Kid headlined The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a first for the Texas native. And it should be noted that earlier this year “Outta Style,” spent four weeks at No. 1 in Texas.

Congrats, Aaron! From all of us at Radio Texas, LIVE!
