I can't imagine waking up in the middle of the night to hear a baby crying when I don't have a baby. I am convinced that is what horrid nightmares are made of! In this video you can hear a lady asking the parrot why he/she is crying. The lady proceeds to console the parrot and it reminds me of my childhood when my sister had her meltdowns and my grandma was the only one who could console her in Spanish.  Parrots often learn to imitate laughter or crying to gain the attention they want according to Michael Schindlinger, an assistant professor of biology at Lesley University. Clearly this works, this parrot probably realized that crying gets you far in life, that is if you're inside a store crying sprawled out in aisle four begging for candy.

Keep trying for those treats little fella! Can we create a fundraiser for this parrot? Lets give him all the treats to avoid his crying meltdowns!
