Former local baseball stand out and professional player, Danny Huffstickler, fought a courageous bout with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) but was taken far too soon, losing his battle on February 12, 2013.  And it's in his honor that his friends and family hold an annual co-ed softball tournament to raise awareness of this horrible disease and to provide some financial assistance to local patients suffering from ALS.

Get your team together and get ready to play in the 5th Annual Tuff Huff co-ed softball tournament at Southern Hills Park this Saturday and Sunday, August 22-23 in Shreveport.

Entry fee is $200 per team and teams must be comprised of 5 men and 5 women.

Tournament organizers will also hold a raffle, a silent auction and will sell t-shirts, great food, snow cones and wrist bands with all funds going to "Strike Out ALS."
