The 2017 CMA Music Festival is about to begin in Nashville, but fans will get to re-live some of the event's biggest highlights later this summer. ABC has revealed an air date and details for their 2017 CMA Fest: The Music Event of the Summer TV special.

Titled CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock in previous years, CMA Fest: The Music Event of the Summer will air on ABC on Aug. 16 at 8PM ET, MusicRow reports. The three-hour show will feature major moments from this year's CMA Music Festival, which is scheduled for June 8-11 in Nashville. Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett will co-host the TV special; it will be Rhett’s second year co-hosting the event, and Ballerini’s first.

Both Ballerini and Rhett will perform during CMA Fest 2017’s nightly concerts at Nissan Stadium, in addition to co-hosting this year's CMA Fest TV special. The experience will be especially sweet for Ballerini, who remembers attending CMA Music Festival events as a fan not too long ago.

“Me and my mom and a couple of friends would save up and plan for CMA Fest all year. We had schedules — we had fanny packs! We were very serious,” Ballerini recalls. “My first time was when I was 13, and I have pictures of me buddying up next to Lady A[ntebellum], sweating because I was so nervous to meet them.”
